The Tampa Coffee Shop, which has been in operation ever since the hotel opened, is valued by a steady Thai clientele for whom the ‘American cuisine' here is deemed to be authentic, although the menu touts the restaurant as “delicious international cuisine” in “a comfortable atmosphere.” The most sought-after dish here is barbecued spare ribs, along with onion soup. The restaurant appears briefly in the Thai romance film “Heart Attack.”
